Filipinos don't often use "Mabuhay" to greet a fellow Filipino.  If you do that, you would look funny.  We only use that to greet foreigners to welcome them (if you are a tour coordinator that is).  We greet each other with a simple "Hi" or "Kamusta ka?".  As discussed earlier, lots are using English even for simple conversations.  We call it "Taglish", Tagalog and English mixed together.  Similarly, Filipinos seldom say "Mahal Kita" to say "I love you" to someone.  You will sound so conservative...lol.  Even for greeting cards, you will seldom see in  stores here, cards printed in Tagalog.  The "Po", "Opo" and "Oho" are added to show respect.  Like if you want to say "Good Evening" to a respected or a much older person than you, you can say "Magandang Gabi Po" but mostly you will hear someone saying "Good Evening Po" ( Taglish ).
