Halo-Halo

This is a popular iced dessert in the Philippines that is so refreshing on a warm summer day.  There is no exact ingredients, nor measurements for this dessert.  In fact, the translation of "halo-halo" is "mix-mix."  The main identifying characteristics of of this merienda is the tall glass, the layering, the milk and the shaved ice.

Ingredients:
1 tall glass
2 tbsp. sweetened red beans
2 tbsp. sweetened white beans
2 tbsp. creamed corn
2 tbsp. macapuno (preserved coconut)
2 tbsp. sago
2 tbsp. ube
2 pcs. jackfruit, sweetened
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/2-3/4 cup shaved ice
1 scoop ice cream (Any fruity flavored ice cream)

Instructions:
Layer the ingredients on top of each other in the very tall glass. Place shaved ice as the last layer. Pour evaporated over the ice, then top with a scoop of your choice of ice cream.
