Welcome to another
edition of triviaaa Newsletter!
First off is the minutes of last month's meeting held by the ops in
triviaaa_kiosk:
Issue 1: Apparently there have been complaints about the
persistent release of flatulence in triviaaa. Because we are a
non-discriminative organization, and also adhere to those who don't
know a good fart when they hear one, we, from now on (at great
expense mind you) will be supplying free brown paper bags to all
those champion farters who hold out hope of it becoming an Olympic
sport for London 2012. Now during the meeting, these bags were tried
out and did contain all the ingredients produced from the day
before. However, Rayne and bat decided it is only appropriate to
test for strength by slamming them against the wall to see if they
would pop. Of course they bloody did!
The conclusion: No popping of brown paper bags will be allowed.
Please discard all farts in the appropriate manner, thank you.
Issue 2: Evidently, it was a short meeting after that...
Ok, on to this month's newsletter. This month another 48 members
have joined the forum, taking our member list to 105, which fell
five short of our secret trip: a weekend away for two to sunny
Glasgow to the 110th person. We also have 5 new moderators that have
been added to the forum; and no, no exchanging of little brown
envelopes under the table took place during these decisions (yes, we
have an excess number of brown paper at the moment).
Anyway... Welcome aboard: Stuzy, IndieRockGirl, Angi, Velvet and
josie! They have all undergone a rigorous 6 week training
program, and are well equipped to do absolutely... whatever it is a
moderator does (Should I mention the 80,000 free triviaaa points
moderators get every month... I think I shouldn't... oh well ) ...
make 'em welcome peeps !!!
We also have a new avatar make up artist for the vanities in all of
us ! Way to go Velvet !!!
What you may not know is that we are now using a new web host from
Slacker Services, a much faster server, with more bandwidth
and bigger web space. How fast? Bloody fast, that's how fast. How
much more bandwidth? More than the panty strapping on 362 pound
Esmeralda Bloomingdale is how much more bloody bandwidth! How much
bigger web space? Bigger than a horse (better not go there!) ...it's
big. Besides, we got tired of our last web host. Those tight
bastards charged us an arm and a leg! The annual Christmas party
that was postponed because certain people don't pay their membership
fees. Well we had put the money together, but the web host of the
previous site raised all our prices, so the Christmas party is off
again... sorry about that.
triviaaa's Forum also has some new additions:
Jigsaw Zone
started on Aug 13. Angi was our first Jigsaw Master winner,
and josie the first awardee of Jigsaw Zone Master award for getting
a jackpot.
Brain Ticklers
started on Aug 1 and our first Egghead winner for that was
Stuzy. If you want to view who has won prizes for this and
that, you can find it in our triviaaa Vault. We also have a new
thread called : Enquiring Minds Want To Know, a chance for people
who have not met you before to get to know a little about you. Like,
"I hear dead people... it's so annoying" ...things like that if you
like. Congratulations also to IndieRockGirl and Betula
for taking out the
Treasure Hunt
section for this month. Thank God for Google !!!
If you have a birthday coming up, you'll be given points & a
birthday icon to help you celebrate your day ... and no, contrary to
rumor, the icon doesn't have a fluorescent sign that says "HIT ME"
on the back.
Ok, that's about all, except to say that in September there will be
new shops added to the Forum, and a new game, "The triviaaa
Enquirer" for you to earn more points.
