The Republic of the Philippines is a nation of 7,100 islands  and islets but only at least 2000 of which are inhabited.  It is not an exact count, it depends whether it is high tide or low tide... lol.   Of course, if it is low tide, more islands will appear.   Most of the people live on the costal plains of the largest islands.  These islands are divided into three major regions: Luzon ( the largest ), Visayas and Mindanao.  Each region produces its own culture: religion, dialect, customs and more.

Luzon Region ( where Manila, the capital, is located ) is fairly industrialized.  I was born in Manila and still lives there up to now.  My country's nearest neighbours are Taiwan, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia.  It is hot and humid here all year-round. My country has only two weather patterns - the dry season ( January to June ) and wet season ( July to December ). No snow.. so please send me some... lol!!! )
